Gabrielle was born in Edinburgh, Scotland in 1993. She first started playing golf around the age of 10 and took part in the Junior Golf Foundation at Melville driving range. At age 11, Gabrielle joined Prestonfield Golf Club and by the time she was 14 she had won the Ladies Club Championship. Gabrielle joined Craigielaw Golf Club after playing in the Scottish Under 16s Strokeplay Championship at Craigielaw. She soon became part of the Craigielaw junior team which went on to become the Scottish Junior Team Champions and qualified for the British Finals in La Manga, Spain. In Gabrielle’s first Scottish Girls Amateur Championship she won the Ansley Reid Salver at Peterhead in 2007. Gabrielle was then selected for the Scottish Ladies Golf Association Development Squad. Gabrielle’s highlight of her junior career was representing Scotland in the Girls Home Internationals in 2010.
In 2011 Gabrielle began her Geography degree at the University of St Andrews, and in June 2015 Gabrielle graduated with a 2:1 Honours Degree after four years of living at the Home of Golf. During her time in St Andrews, Gabrielle was a key member of the Saints Golf programme and was the captain of the Ladies 1st Team for 2 years. Under the watchful eye of coach Kevin Hale, Gabrielle’s golf flourished resulting in success across both University and National levels. In 2013 Gabrielle was selected to represent Scotland in the Ladies Home Internationals, and the following year Gabrielle won the Scottish Ladies Close Amateur Championship at Prestwick Golf Club. After this she was selected to represent Scotland in the European Ladies Team Championship in Slovenia, and also the World Team Championships in Japan. In her final year as a student Gabrielle went on to represent Scotland in the Ladies Home Internationals in 2014 and 2015, and was also awarded Scholar of the Year and an award for continuous achievement throughout university.
After graduating, Gabrielle’s main focus was on her golf, whilst also working part time at the Braid Hills Golf Centre in Edinburgh and caddying at Muirfield. After securing playing status for the Ladies European Tour Access Series at the end of 2018 at qualifying school, she turned pro in February 2019. Gabrielle had a successful first season as a pro and has continued to improve, recording two wins on the Ladies European Tour Access Series in 2021. Gabrielle has secured full status for the Ladies European Tour for 2022.
Gabrielle continues to represent Craigielaw Golf Club and is currently sponsored by Pure Spa & Beauty, Crieff Hydro Family of Hotels and Swedish clothing brand Rohnisch. Gabrielle is coached by David Patrick at Bruntsfield Golf Links and Craig Tumblety is her golf fitness coach.
